Before I took this course, I had no experience of blogging. However, nowadays I am accustomed to browsing the blogs online and learning about the unique features. This experience has changed me a lot.
First of all, I have learned various websites that I can start my blog easily. It's not hard to do it with our professor's instructions. We can start with Blogger, WordPress, Buzznet...I can still remember our professor provides a list of free blog providers. All of them are free and easy for beginners. We can choose and change colors, fonts, images, design and so forth. Every time I design my blog, I feel like I am decorating my bedroom.
Second, as for the genre our professor asked us to pay attention, I feel like this is an online diary or journal. It follows the chronological structure, entries are posted regularly, and the focus is on our own personal experiences or opinions.
Third, I love the inter-activeness of the blog. The blog offers readers opportunities to comment, and it gives statistics of how many readers my blog attracts. The characteristics help me reflect my posts and I can make some improvement when I write next time. I consider this as the essence of a blog. The feedback from the readers can influence how I write my blog as well as my thoughts and opinions.
Last, I want to talk about how I can improve my blogging in the future. From this experience, I think I need to develop my creative writing skills. I will articulate ideas and emotions through writing. I will change my writing styles according to the topics. If I want to share my joy and pain with others, I can use my blogging as a tool of diaries. We can not only store our emotions but also information. Also, I will definitely use blogging in my teaching and learning. It will help me interact with my students, gather and exchange online resources, build relationships by commenting on students' blogs.
In a word, blogs are quite flexible and changeable, we will gain the usefulness and the satisfactions from blogging if we keep trying.

Hi Lei,
Thank you for all your great posts throughout the semester! Your blog was easy to follow as well as informative. I also have never had to blog or use it for a classroom setting, but can see the benefits that blogging has now. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and information! Best of luck with the rest of the semester.
Hi Lei,
I like the insight you had on how to improve the blogging in the future. We can not only store and share emotions but also information. Before I only used blog to store emotion and now I found it really useful in education. Creativity is also very important especially when we want to attract our readers. I think I will use blogging in my future teaching and learning, too.

Hi Lei, I am impresses by your opinion of the "inter-activeness" of blogging. I have the same feeling. During the process of blogging, many people comment on my blogs, giving me suggestions, stimulitating the next topic of my blogs. This really helps a lot.

I too had no experience blogging until taking the course. It was helpful to discover possible easy to use blog sites as well as to experience the weekly comments and bi weekly posts. I can agree that the topics assigned helped me to structure my post and to systematically go through the blogging process week to week with information unique to classmates topics. I found it entertaining to see how classmates structured their posts and enjoyed getting inout and feedback each week. This allowed me to know my audience and even write posts in order to answer questions and concerns expressed by readers in previous post's comments. Because of this blogging experience I now feel comfortable with blogging going forward.
